TODAY'S THRIFTY TREASURES

I discovered a new blog with a wonderful weekly post with a Mr. Linky. Anyone can join and there are many blogs already attached. The premise is that we all share our thrift shopping treasures. It doesn't matter where you live or where you shop. Anyone is welcome and I am joining. The icon says Monday but any day will work. Click on the icon and visit Rhoda's blog and enjoy the thrify shopping stories.

These items are all thrifting finds but the most recent are the four small planters: dog, duck, elephant and pig. I got them at a yard sale for a quarter each.
I've show this Americana display before but this week, I added the Americana angel. She cost me 75 cents and had been stored in a plastic bag so she is very clean. She has shiny button eyes and patches and buttons everywhere,
This Independence tree has red, white and blue wood beads, yellow wood stars and homespun bows. It has a chunk of poplar tree for a base. The gal I bought it from said her husband had made it for her years ago and she set it out every year for Christmas. I told her it looked like an Independence Day tree because of the coloring. She agreed and sold it to me for $1!
I got this dark red lampshade for my kitchen counter lamp at the Goodwill in Galesburg. Mike and I discovered the store on one our 'daycations'. Actually, I got 2 of them and put the other in our bathroom. The nightlight effect much more subdued with these darker shades. $1.49 each
This one is my favorite bargain of the week. I got this prim little chalkboard for $1! I added the little cast iron farm animals.
Goodwill tablecloth - $2.99. It is a Mexican woven one and I remember having seen them before. I love vintage linens.

Oh, wow- a feast for the eyes! I LOVE the little water can with the ladybug! That is too cute- and the little Raggedy Ann angel is so sweet too! The lampshade is wonderful- the colors will go great with all your other decor. I love your little spice jars on the stove- what a neat idea! I'm glad I have a friend as smart (and creative) as you!
