Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you. ~Edward Payson Rod

JUST VISITING....

I been friends with Tisha over at Loafer Mountain for some time but I certainly did NOT expect the surprise gifts I got from her on Christmas Eve!  Please enlarge the picture so you can see all these wonderful goodies. I love the little wreath with the rusty bell that adorns the green bag that holds 2 bars of awesome goat milk soap. The tan bag is filled with some yummy potpourri and I got some adorable gingers along with a prairie doll and stocking for my prim tree. She also included a beautiful handmade card and a small insert with a snowman on it. I am loving this snowman with a potato for a nose. He is the greatest snowman I have ever seen. Thank you, thank you, thank you--Tisha! You really made my day!
Remember the cute little doxie we adopted a few weeks ago? We have been calling him Buddy. He is affectionate, very cuddly indeed, but a puppy still. We no longer leave our shoes on the floor in the family room. He doesn't bother mine but he is very, very fond of Mike's shoes. Mike has really short strings on one shoe now. LOL  Looks like Buddy has made himself right at home, doesn't it? These 3 play together--actually rough house and a lot. Buddy is gaining weight and learning our routine.  He has escaped from our fenced-in yard a couple times. The little bugger just climbs over it! I have actually peeled him off the fence! Mike had to move our wood pile. Buddy is a high flyer. He will climb and jump. We 'think' we have solved this little quirk in our program.
Sadly, at least to me, this cute little mouse recently died due to my foolishness. You see, I had an antique basket full of antique sewing supplies sitting on a side table next to my chair. This little mouse was living in a waxed terra cotta pot in the midst of these sewing supplies. I came home one day and found Mousie laying on the secretary table that we use for our TV. Mike had gathered up these pieces. I have re-stuffed him and returned him to his pot, but he will never be the same. Poor little guy........   I think he may need a veternarian!
Gratitude:** I am thankful for all the wonderful experiences I've had here on the blogs. It has really brought new meaning to my life. I feel like I have found the place where I belong. Thank you, my sweet friends, for accepting me and making me smile.**

Linda,
Sounds like Buddy is right at home. Chloe will take my hubby's shoes if he leaves them laying around and she will chew them. Hope she doesn't teach Zoey to do that.
What great goodies you got. Sorry to hear about little mousie.
hugs,
Cindy

The gifts are wonderful! Love "Buddy" and all your dachshunds, Baron chewed anything stuffed when he was a puppy and a bit younger than now...thankfully he stopped eating shoes...ate my favorite pair of sandals! Thankfully he now eats his own stuff ;-] Feel bad about your little "mouseit" though! I've had a blog 3 or 4 years now (before blogspot it was Bravenet) and I very much enjoy it...it does add a lot to your life doesn't it...I like having blog friends all over the USA and the world. I've learned so much! Happy Tuesday to you and Mike!

Those gifts are precious. What a fun Christmas Eve gift. Your dogs are so cute. Their ears look so soft. I wish I could reach in and pet them. Poor little mouse. I bet you shed a tear. I am glad he was able to be put back together though, even if he's not perfect. -Steph-

Hello Sweet Lady....Seems like a long time since our paths have crossed. I've now fallen so far behind I hold no pretense of being able to catch up...and the days ahead promise to put me even further behind. Hope your Christmas was blessed with many joys and treasured moments. Wonderful gifts from Tisha - those gingers are adorable. Love the photo of the dogs (on Mike's lap I presume??) But, pray tell, which one is Buddy in that stack o' dogs??? So sorry about Mousie....we had a lot of casualties around here when Snow Dog was little. Good thing I like "prim." Hope all is well in your world...you've been close in thought....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Lots of fun goodies you received! I'm sure you had a great time decorating with all of it.

Buddy is so cute, look at those beautiful eyes! Poor little mouse! I'm sorry, but I had to laugh... I remember these trying times with our dog when he was a pup. It can be so frustrating at times. Glad you were able to save the mouse!
