Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you. ~Edward Payson Rod

The menu makes me want to come to your house..I don't make menus any more we kind of decide what we want day by day and sometimes we each eat something different. That is the only advantage I can see with retirement..eat what you want...when you want it...Have a great week Linda..I can't stay in..have to ship stuff I sold on ebay and another order I got from a friend :)

Hi Linda, Angie and Robin are silly. If you will cook, (I hate to do that task) I will do the dishes for us all!!! Your menu sounds wonderful. Bet my Mister wishes I would cook like that. Send some of your cold weather to me down south. Suppose to be close to 70 here tomorrow. Hard to have the Christmas Spirit when it is so warm. Your plans for the week sound like a winner. Enjoy!

Yummm...I'll just come live at your house! LOL

Sounds like you have a plan for a wonderful, relaxing week! Since I haven't yet started my Christmas shopping, I'm getting a little nervous. I don't think my week is going to be as laid-back as yours!

Hugs,
Pam

Hi Linda,

Oh the joy of comfort foods !

Last night I made mashed potatoes from potatoes from the garden, gravy, meatloaf and corn. Instead of mircrowaving the frozen corn in that stinky plastic, I put the corn in a pot with some water and real butter and let it thaw and heat that way.. and it tasted a lot better, too !

I used to love the instant Quaker oats Maple and Brown Sugar cereal until they changed it to those big horse flakes and less sugar .. now it tastes like horse feed.. things change.. and not for the better sometimes.

Have a fun week !

Hugs,
Linda
I am still enjoying my bittersweet pillow and am going to keep it out year round ~

The menu sounds wonderful, Sweetie... and I especially love the snuggled-in part!
We are trying to do our Christmas shopping this week and get our ducks in a row before the 22nd... everything will come to a sreeching halt after that.
Stay warm and cozy, luv!

Hi Linda,

Your family is surely blessed to have a talented chef like you... If only we were neighbors!

We really do have "much" to be "Thankful" for.

Blessings from our family to yours,
Mel

Yeah, they need to sit on our feet too! LOL. For now though the lap will suffice :o) Our kitty kats do warm our bed for us, sometimes it's the top side and sometimes the foot.

Menu sounds fantanstic...love the candy canes...each year for the past 3 years I was going to do those and still they are not done. Best wishes for your dad's recovery..I lost my dad in 1967 when I was 19 and lost my mother 5 years ago. Treasure all the time you have with them.

Merry Christmas

Smiles and Huggs
