We got our first real snow on Tuesday. About 2" of the fluffy delight fell on our little burg. We love snow because it covers a multitude of sins and gives everything a Christmas feel. Everything looks better with snow covering it! Funny thing, our little dogs all put on the brakes when they have to go out in the rain, but let a little snow fall and they are out there romping around. See the snow on Cricket's nose? They all just bury their faces in the drifts. They have a great time out there. Guess it is a good thing they don't have real hands or we'd be pelted with snowballs every time they went out!!!
On Thursday, we went to do the last of our Christmas shopping. Of course, I had to stop at my favorite Goodwill stores. I was right there as they were putting this print out. I just loved it so home with me it came. I removed an old dusty wreath and put it here in our great room.
In the next Goodwill, I found this Billy Jacobs print. It is my first and I am so pleased that it is of snowmen and will hang year round in our bedroom with my snowman collection. See the little snow dog?
It is dated 2002 and I am so lucky to have found this one under $10!
Another bargain in that same store was this rusty bell tree. Isn't it cute? $2.38, too cute to pass up!
I know, I know. I make dozens of little pillows but this one is really sweet. It will remind me of all my sweet friends here on the blogs........
Have you ever seen anything so cute? I love this little mouse on a candy cane. Cyndy made this one for me as part of a swap we did. I love him! Thanks for everything Cyndy!
Gratitude:**I am so thankful that our kids are home safely from China and that the ones here are so happy to have them all home. I am thankful that Miss Ruby Joy is a happy girl and seems to be having a good adjustment to her Forever Family. God has certainly blessed our family.**
Enjoy!

oh Linda I love your home and love all your goodies..and you got some wonderful stuff at the thrift store..I never find that kind of stuff here..love your little pillow stitchery too..and I love your dogs out playing in the snow..and your comment about being pelted with snowballs made me giggle.:)
Ah, the white stuff is starting to slowly come down. I hope we have just a dusting for Christmas, makes the evening so magical. I see you found some more great things at goodwill.
You lucky gal you. I just love all of it. I have been stopping at the Christian school thrift store at least once a week to see what is new. But they never have anything good like what you are finding. I did pick up some more ornaments for the tree that were handmade. Love those. Glad to hear that Ruby Joy is settling in with her new family.
She will enjoy Christmas for sure.
Merry Christmas

Beautiful snow, fantastic thrift finds and Miss Ruby Joy home with her family...it doesn't get better than that!
Hi Linda...I was thinking you got snow when we did last weekend, 7 inches of the crap...lol. Then 3 inches the other day. I'm sick of it already, so is my back...ha! You find the greatest stuff at your goodwill. I would have grabbed that Billy Jacob's print also! So glad that everyone is home from China and Ruby seems to be adjusting.
Brenda
Hi Linda,
My little yorkie does the same thing...hates to go out in the rain, but will go out and play in the snow.
What great goodies you found at the Goodwill. I haven't found anything at the one here in a long time.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
hugs,
Cindy
What great thrift finds Linda. Billy Jacobs is one of my favorites. That's a great print!!! -Steph- p.s. I am glad your family is home.
Havn't had any snow here yet but I am sure it is coming. The winters here aren't as bad as up in N IL but bad enough for me to not want to go out much.
I wish we had a GOOD thrift store that I could find some goodies like you do ..just the little thrift store in Shelbyville and I always find something to drag home but not much in the way of prims.
You got some really nice goodies :)
Hi Linda... Glad your family is safely ome form China..I'm sure that is a relief knowing there trip went well and they are home safe..I'm sure the kids are glad as well..Even if Grandma was there spoiling them!!
I love the Rusty Jingle Bell Tree..how cute is that and perfect for you...
You can keep your snow..it tried to spit snow at us yesterday and I was so glad it was only spitting..I know we will get our share soon enough..to soon as far as I'm concerned..
I'm so happy to hear that your newest Fur Baby has made herself at home in her forever home.. She's a lucky pup!!
Christmas Blessings
Tonya
I agree...everything is prettier in snow!
You got some great thrift store finds. I doubt I'd be lucky enough to find a Billy Jacobs at our Goodwill. But I guess I'll have to keep trying.
Enjoy having your family home; it's such a special time!
Hugs,
Pam
I LOVE the rusty bell tree!! So very cute for less than $3.00! I know Carter loves the tree you brought up for him! I cant wait for you to meet Miss Ruby Joy - she is funny and already so much like the others :)
The snow is beautiful!! I love it when it is fresh!
Your so right Linda, snow does make you feel like Christmas is just round the corner, but I am so hoping we don't get as much this year as we had last year here in the UK!
Wonderful thrift store finds!
Have a lovely day!
Love the picture of the doggie in the snow! Once again, you find the neatest thrift buys!
Glad you're enjoying the white stuff (and not us....) ;o) I do agree, though, it cleans things up - well, until a few days of "doggy business" going on out there, then some areas look a little "yellow" if you know what I mean....Now you're going to have me visualizing the snow dog waging snowball fights every time it snows....You always get a smile out of me one way or another....Love ya for that. Great GW finds - that tree is too stinking cute - and those prints are wonderful - that BJ one looks like it had your name on it....Wishing you a blessed Sunday - so glad to hear Ruby Joy is adjusting - what a magical Christmas this will be for her and her new family....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
I know what you mean about the beauty of a fresh snow! Everything looks so peaceful and clean. I want to visit your Goodwills--such great finds. Our little Sheltie used to love to plow through the snow with her nose, too. ~Roberta
The snow is beautiful! Can't believe you found those wonderful items at a Goodwill. Could I ever get that lucky?!!!

I too want to thank you for the darling little pillow you sent me...was a real surprise...he's up on my bookcase now, keeping company with a couple of Santas......and you sure can find great things at the Goodwills there...we don't have one here but do have a local thrift shop which I go to and occasionally find good stuff..but not often...
Wonderful news that Sara, Bill and Ruby Joy are home!
I love your new finds- they are all winners but I LOVE the snowman and sheep/saltbox house pictures the best.
Gorgeous snowfall you all have- makes me want some hot cocoa!
Oh Linda... you found some great Thrifty finds! Love the rusty bell tree.
And yes that candy cane mouse is adorable!!!
I am so glad everyone is home and safe and happy. So wonderful!
Merry Christmas!
Carmen and the Primcats
Isn't it funny how dogs don't like rain but they love snow, mine is the same way. You can't help but laugh at them.
Love that prim print you found at GW. I am always looking for them at our stores and thrift stores but they never have prim ones, mainly Victorian ones. Love the Billy Jacobs print too! I don't own any yet but plan on changing that soon. I found a shop in the town my sister lives in that had lots and lots of them at a reasonable price but it was right before Christmas and my $$ had to go for my kids, dang kids anyway lol. The rusty bell tree is adorable too! What a great find.
