Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you. ~Edward Payson Rod
"Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love – time is eternity" ~ Henry van Dyke
"I believe in the timeless power of a smile and the simple, happy wonder of creating and sharing. I love the way it makes me feel all warm and good inside, like a joyful hug."

I AM ONE LUCKY WOMAN

I am so fortunate to have some very good friends here in blogland. I was blessed when Angie Stevens started blogging. You may know her as Lil Raggedy Angie. She has gone above and beyond the boundaries of friendship many times. This week, I received the above wine rack. Angie had read on my blog that I got a red glass rolling pin for my birthday and was looking for a way to display it. I had the wine rack in the background, but didn't feel it would get the right attention because of the fancy work. Well, Angie belongs to several groups on Facebook and she found this one; had it shipped directly to me! What an excellent surprise! I used it to display 2 pottery pins, 2 aluminum pins, 1 marble pin. 2 jadeite pins and my new ruby-colored one. These are unique for me and I just love them all. Thank you, Angie, for being such a considerate and generous soul. It is beautiful and perfect for me. I love it!
Another sweet and considerate friend is Amy from Bumble Bee Cottage Lane. She has a journal on her header and I had asked her how she made that. She said she it was easy; maybe she had more. All I needed was a brief tutorial, but she sent me one of her delightful journals. It looks really great on the trunk we use as a coffee table. Thank you, Amy.  Maybe, just maybe, someday, I'll get around to trying to do this myself. Maybe......
And yesterday, I got this stack of goodies with a really nice note from OLM's Marie. She said she hoped these things could inspire me! I think this darling character from Illinois knows that I am addicted to stitching, prim and sewing and that there will definitely be something Easter coming up soon!  I love the combination of colors and patterns. Thank you, Marie. You are a sweetie. I thought for sure I was going to get to meet Marie last fall, but my brother's difficulties kept me from many of my personal plans. Maybe this next 'warm' season.......  Maybe....
I have received many gifts from fellow bloggers over the nearly 5 years I've been blogging. Some were giveaway wins, some swaps and some were RAKs. I have appreciated each and every one. If I have ever missed posting about a gift that one of my fellow bloggers sent me, I apologize from the depths of my heart. I know that everyone wants recognition and deserves to be thanked appropriately and publicly, so I want to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity. I love walking through my home and seeing all the perfect little touches of friendship scattered throughout. Life is good but life with friends? Priceless!

You did receive some wonderful gifts Linda. Where we plan on moving won't be real far from OLM and it is in my plans to get together with her as soon as I can get up there (plans are for July)
Maybe if you get a chance to come to IL I can meet you then also. Just gotta keep working on the cook book and listing on ebay plus a few Garage sales this spring and I can swing it.
Will be way cheaper than the move from AL to here was :)
Better get busy for a while now...
Hugs

Awww....how sweet of those Angie, Amy and Marie - but, I agree with those who came before me - couldn't happen to anyone sweeter herself. Also have to say that you, my dear, are definitely the Queen Pin of rolling pins!! Yikes! I don't believe I've ever seen that many different breeds! But, then again, I've learned not to expect too much around here - the last trip (and I do mean "last" as in likely never again) to our local "thrift" shop turned up only one sorry thing that I would even consider worthy of a "find." It was a vintage wood rolling pin - not the greatest, but passable - until I picked it up and it was covered with some kind of sticky awfulness and a horrid smell emanated from it...Price tag of $25, though, put me right over the edge.....Hope this week has been good to you. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
