MENU PLAN FOR 1-22 through 1-29

This week, I challenge myself to make 5 exciting, delicious meals using ground beef. Shouldn't be too difficult, right? Well, I can almost guarantee that I can do it.
SUNDAY~ French onion soup, just like in the restaurant-cheesy with the toasted croutons and in the oven. no ground beef this day!
MONDAY~ start big: meatloaf and twice baked potatoes with Caesar salad
TUESDAY~ g. beef and mushroom pizza
WEDNESDAY~ green chili cheeseburgers with steak fries
THURSDAY~ one of Mike's favorites: Hamburger Helper Cheesy Hash Browns with green beans
FRIDAY~ lemon-butter cod fillets with spinach salad and glazed carrots
SATURDAY~ Mike's chili with all the go-alongs
Thought I'd add a picture of my year round evergreen tree. It has ornies for all seasons and from many of my blog buddies. I rarely remove any, just keep adding them. You can enlarge the pic by clicking on it so you can get a better view.

Yum! Sounds like a great menu. I too keep up a year round tree and change the decorations for each season/holiday. Darbee Rae gets so excited every time we change it and loves to help me. Love it!

I think when all 8 of my boys were still at home I must have had 50 recipes using ground beef and a lot of our meals were made in one pot. I think you can make almost anything and add some hamburger. Mine and Billys one favorite is Beef-a-roni just fried gr beef with onions if you like them and then add 1 box of cooked elbow noodles ..a BIG can of stewed tomatoes and then I add one of the reg size cans of stewed tomatoes that are seasoned. It does usually last us for 3 or 4 meals and goes good with garlic bread. I just don't cook big meals like I used to and when I do they last for 2 or more meals :)

Hi Linda,
Well you sure got the taste buds moving this morning! Yep, wishin' I lived next door ;-)
Your tree is darling and love that you have it filled with "everything" as it makes it easier than changing out each holiday or season!
Did you ever find a wine rack for your rolling pins? I see a display on the wall or is that only part of them? lol
Have a great week!

Sweet tree for year round!! I worry about you eating so much red meat. Do you ever add vegetarian meals to the mix? I will have to look up the recipe for cheesy hashbrowns. Have a good week and God bless!

Exciting is the key word. To get any excitement from my children over dinner I would have to light it on fire and stick a pinwheel on thier plate:) Your menu looks soooo good. I love your ever tree. How fun to put keepsakes on it and leave it like that forever:) -Steph-
